AFMG, the manufacturer of EASE is organizing two training sessions on the use of their acoustic modeling software in the APart offices in Belgium. The first, 3-day seminar covers an overview of EASE and the basics of room modeling and sound system design.
EASE level 2 is a 2-day seminar that covers advanced topics in EASE, particularly related to sound system design and room acoustics. Advanced simulation modules are discussed.

Thanks to all distributors for joining us in Belgium for the 2011 APart distributor meeting. More than 60 people from across the globe attended the meetings and fun activities in and around Antwerp. We introduced the new CMAR and OVO loudspeaker series, and it was a nice opportunity to discuss business in a relaxed setting.

A team from the APart headquarters in Belgium went to Southern France recently to cycle to the summit of Mont Ventoux. The mythical mountain from the Tour de France was a serious challenge, but still half of the crew made it all the way to the top!

In 1929, the 21 year old Louis Empain inherits his fathers’ fortune and business empire, and commissions a villa that is to become a masterpiece of art deco architecture. The house is subsequently used as his private home, museum, Gestapo headquarters, Soviet embassy and TV-studio. After decades of misuse, looting and squatters the Brussels villa is now finally restored to its former glory. A five million Euro, two year renovation project turned it into a museum for intercultural dialogue. The management and architects chose APart for their sound system. Je taak
Je versterkt het R&D team en voert de nodige research en development uit om nieuwe producten te creëren of onderdelen ervan, al dan niet in samenwerking met leveranciers en fabrikanten. Product verbeteringen aan reeds bestaande producten behoort ook tot het takenpakket. Verder zorg je ervoor dat de wettelijke reglementeringen toegepast worden en ondersteun je de technische dienst bij complexe problemen.
Je profiel
Je bent een Master of Bachelor in elektronica en je kan terugvallen op ervaring met audio ( analoge elektronica en digitale interfacing/processing). Je beschikt tevens over een goede kennis van de software voor de ontwikkeling van elektronica. Als je daarnaast vertrouwd bent met meetapparatuur, meer in het bijzonder met Audio Precision, heb je zeker een streepje voor. Tenslotte blink je uit door je leergierige en flexibele houding en weet je je goed te organiseren.

Je komt terecht in een jonge maar sterk groeiende KMO. Er heerst een vlakke structuur met een open communicatie en no nonsense mentaliteit. APart has appointed Ian Hodgkinson as its new Export Sales Manager for the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Hodgkinson has been in pro audio ever since he finished his engineering studies. After spending some years in the studio business, he moved into technical sales and sales functions. He worked as sales manager for Europe and the Middle East for Australian Monitor, and 9 years as a regional sales manager for EMEA and India with Biamp.
Hodgkinson is looking forward to the new challenge: “I am very impressed by APart’s growth, their organization and capabilities. The APart team has built a solid reputation based on affordable quality, innovation and personal contact with installers and distributors, and I am delighted to become “a part” of the team. I am sure the relationships I have created with many of the key players in the industry will be an asset into making APart an even more global brand!”

Adobe has released a new version of their Flash player. We have discovered that this player has a specific problem with screensavers that were made with an older flash version.
After installing this player (At a certain moment you will be prompted to install it) you'll get an error saying: could not find the macromedia flash.
And that's the moment that our APart-audio screensaver will stop working. adobe will likely not get around to fixing this issue with screensavers.
The problem can be solved by reinstalling our screensaver.
